Busy days, keeping this Mama sometimes frazzled.
Sometimes at a loss for time with Him.
If I don’t stop. Take a moment to breath. A moment to see Him in my day. Well, the consequences are not pretty.
What would I do? If I didn’t have Scripture memorized to breath life into my soul during those seeming frazzled days?
Even now, as I sit here, disappointment washes over me. I have not had time to post, yet again. This practice of seeing Him in my days is something I have come to really enjoy doing. But I realize that one of the biggest things that has carried me through the past few days is the Scripture I have memorized. Some I have known since a child.

I have needed God’s Words:
be anxious for nothing…
rejoice always…
all things work together…
Oh, more times than I can count over the past week I have needed His Words. His Spirit speaking stillness to my raging turbulent heart. The knots in my stomach have ached at times. I breath up a prayer and His Word speaks. His Word calms.
His Word soothes. The knots go away for the moment.
That is until another human moment happens and I begin to stress and worry. We start all over again. Ah, but He is good. If His Word was not apart of the soul. I can’t even imagine how difficult life would be in these kinds of moments.
I don’t know that I have really answered Ann’s question, but this post is what came to mind when I read this week’s pondering. Although, honestly, I haven’t even read Ann’s post yet.
It is more the result of a life time of habitual memorization rather than a how to.
This week’s pondering: The Habit of Memorizing Scripture

Beautiful Trish! You are in my prayers, dear blogging friend!
Hugs,
Traci
I think you answered the question beautifully. So many scriptures stored in our memories can come back and serve us at all the right times. What a blessing that God has encouraged us to store his words in our hearts. Blessings to you!
Yes, it is precious when those long ago memorized passages rise to the “level of everyday’s most quiet–or loud–need! Blessings, Dianne
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! HE and HIS word is vital to us!!!
