That being said, there is a lot of information and testimonies with proven results about goat’s milk for and its nourishing properties for our skin.
Here’s a short list of a few of those benefits:
- Nourishing to skin because it is high in vitamins A B6, B12, C, D and E
- Has high levels of enzymes and proteins
- It has a reputation of having natural antimicrobial properties which makes it good for acne
- The protein strands are shorter and more readily absorbed by the skin that those in other milks
- Soap and lotion made with goats milk boasts of being good for psoriasis and eczema because of caprylic acid and when combined with coconut its extra good for psoriasis
- Caprylic acid and capric triglycerides add to silkiness of goat milk soap/lotion and bumps up antioxidants and makes a fantastic emollient and moisturizing agent
- Lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid help improve appearance of skin by encouraging cell turnover and smoother skin
- Last but not least, it is believed that medium chain fatty acids help goat’s milk penetrate first (dead) layer of skin to encourage effective movement and deposit fat soluble Vit A, E & K, two antioxidants which can neutralize free radicals.
