Our alder wood soap dishes are a gorgeous addition to your bathroom or kitchen decor. These are made by a family lumber mill in Oregon from left over pieces of wood. We added stain or lightly polyurethane them to help them last longer. The grooves allow water to drip off the soap enabling it to dry out between uses and therefore allow your soap to last longer. And the dish is designed with a slight bow on the bottom allowing it to sit on the sink or counter without collecting water underneath it.
Soap Care: Goat’s milk soap is a naturally softer soap due to its high moisturizing qualities. Keeping it in a soap dish that drains allows air circulation around the bar enables them to dry fully. Another option is to use soap saver bag that hangs up to allow the soap to dry. Do not let soap sit in water. Following these basic directions will keep your soap harder and longer lasting and this dish is a perfect companion for your soaps.
Please note that because of the nature of the wood, your dish may look different than the ones pictured.
