Prevent Button Repairs:

To prevent buttons falling off clothes (and save time by not having to sew them back on), put a dab of clear nail polish on top of the threads of the button. It will strengthen the thread and make it less likely for buttons to unravel and fall off!

Ironing:

It is easiest to iron damp clothing rather than fully dried items. If items are too dry, try spraying or misting them with a spray bottle filled with water. If you have multiple items to iron, throw them in the dryer with a wet towel and run it through the low or no-heat cycle.

When ironing shirts, start with the cuffs and collars inside out. Move on to the yolk or shoulder area of the shirt, then down toward the sleeves. Next do the body and the front panel last. Wrinkling usually is avoided if you iron in this order.

Always iron shirt collars on both sides, with the inside first. Iron inward from the point of the collar to avoid pushing any creases to the tip.
